The 2001 MACUB Conference

The MACUB Conference of October 27, 2001, sponsored by Union County College, was a great success!

After the opening addresses, our first speaker,  Dr. Richard Goldsby, was introduced.

Dr. Goldsby gave a fine presentation titled: "Cows That Give More Than Milk: Human Antibodies from Cloned Cattle" After that, there was time to explore the vendor displays, and poster presentations.

In the afternoon, a second keynote speaker, Dr. Peter Day, gave a lecture on “Biotechnology and Genetically Modified Foods: Benefits and Concerns”

After that, the conference broke up into workshops on Lyme Disease, Biotechnology, Grafting, and Using Various Computer Technologies as Student Resources.

We all look forward to the 2002 conference at Staten Island.

MACUB is the Metropolitan Association of College and University Biologists.
