One of the most interesting and informative sites on the Web concerning disease prevention

and other health related issues is the one maintained by the Centers for Disease Control &

Prevention (CDC).  There is a wealth of information here including: reports & publications,

data & statistics, health topics A-Z, press releases & current health news, state & local health

departments, free publications & software, downloadable epidemiology slides, training &

employment, educational opportunities, traveler's health & alerts about disease outbreaks

worldwide, and free online subscriptions via email.  I specifically recommend the free email

subscription to their weekly newsletter, MMWR.  These publications are emailed to you

automatically when released.  They arrive in a compressed format as .pdf files.  To  read

them, you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.  If you don't have

this program, it is available free from Adobe, and there is a link from the CDC site. Contact
