BICEPS BRACHII
Located on the anterior humerus, it is the muscle which bulges when we “make a muscle”. This two-headed muscle has origins on the coracoid process of the scapula (short head) and the synovial tendon sheath of the synovial capsule of the shoulder joint (long head). This muscle inserts on the radial tuberiosity of the radius bone. It produces a powerful flexion of the elbow and supination of the forearm (“it turns the corkscrew and pulls the cork”).
