OVERVIEW OF SKIN
The integumentary system consists of the three layers of the skin, as well as, the epidermal derivatives. The three layers are the epidermis, dermis and the subcutaneous layer which contains abundant adipose tissue. The epidermal derivatives include the hairs, glands and nails.
