SWEAT GLANDS
Sweat glands are located in the deep dermis. They are usually associated with small blood vessels and nerves. In response to hyperthermia, the eccrine sweat glands release a serous liquid to the surface of the skin via a duct. The evaporation of this liquid from the surface of the skin cools the body. In the arm pits and groin, apocrine sweat glands secrete an oily material.
