Hello. I am Professor Maureen Lampel Greenbaum. I joined UCC in January 1983. I feel that computer knowledge today is required for every professional endeavor and for making your personal life more fulfilling. I try to make the courses I teach as hands-on and relevant to each individual as possible. Read my teaching and grading philosophy. Before become a full-time professor I worked in the computer industry for 15 years for firms including Exxon and State Street Bank of Boston.I've lived in Watchung for almost 30 years. I've been married for an even longer time to Howard, who is also into computers. We have two sons, Adam, who completed his masters degree in computers at CMU last May and Noah, who spends hours on the computer doing school homework and more. Our family likes to travel, particularly to where we can snorkel with beautiful marine fish, some of which we keep in a huge tank at home full of colorful fish.Since 1982 I've run a little company called SUMWARE in NJ that consults for small and medium businesses. I create web sites for fun (charities) and profit. See my own web site for links to all these sites.I started teaching in the late 1970's before joining UCC. You may find the way I teach my courses a little different. My story
of how I got from being a college student to teaching at UCC, which I composed for my students,
