The only dumb question is the one that you don't ask because then you remain
dumb!
But before you ask, try to find the answer yourself. By investing the effort to track down the answer, you will remember it. Becoming comfortable with using the Help that is provided with all software products will save you much time and aggravation. Start your search with this web site. There are links to related sites on the left of all pages. The Site maps (CIS100, CIS120) have a comprehensive, organized lists of pages. This site has directions and hints, but is not meant to be a text or tutorial since the are many (more professional) instructional sites on any topic you want available on the web. I have indexed tutorial sites relevant to CIS 100 and CIS120 topics. Needless to say, you can't get out of this course alive without READING. Once you get out in the work-a-day world, people have their own work to do and do not have an over abundance of time to explain things to you. So you are on your own to find answer. Getting proficient in locating the correct information is a very valuable skill. So a major thrust of this course is to give you experience in finding the needed answers from the prolific amount of information that is available. Try something. Any menu, any key. All Microsoft Office
products have an undo key
"Save early save often." Meaning when creating a new file using Microsoft Word and Excel, set up your header and save. Then save every 10 minutes or so. Whenever you look at your work and say, "that's not bad", save it! See more on my grading and quiz philosophy. |
