Contains a Pie chart of Total column, which uses labels from a non-contiguous column

Has a custom Page Header containing the date and sheet name, book name in other than the default font

Is printed properly formatted as a sheet with a chart

Is printed as 1) a formatted values and 2) formulas with row and column labels and gridlines

Procedure:

Enrollment by Campus and Major
Spreadsheet problem with pie and bar charts

This spreadsheet tracks the number of students at each UCC campus by major

Create the sheet:

type the labels in Row 1, center and revise font if desired

type labels in column A

type the values in columns B thru D rows 2 though 5

enter sum, Σ (sigma), in cell B6 and drag it across the row

enter sum, Σ in cell D2 and drag it down the column

format it so it look pretty

	adjust the width of column A
	highlight all the numbers and format as a comma
	with the numbers still highlighted, remove (decrease) the number of decimals

Create a bar or column chart

highlight ALL the labels and values EXCEPT the Total row and Total column

Insert Ribbon Select Pie a column or bar graph

	is the chart is provosts (interested in campus) or department heads (interested in majors)?
	add a chart header
	specify the title and x and y labels

modify the graph as needed (add patterns, format titles, etc.)

Create a pie chart

highlight the cells in the Total column (except the total total)

Insert Ribbon Select Pie chart

	use Source Data to select the labels for the legend
	add a chart header
	add percentages and values

modify the graph as needed (add patterns, format titles, etc.)

explode a slice by highlighting just one slice and dragging it away from pie center

Use the Spreadsheet checklist to ensure that you haven't forgotten anything.

Print

Print the Sheet with the chart and then print the formulas.
Follow instructions on Print Hints

	preview your work and print the sheet with the chart
	view the formulas (Ctrl + ~)
	setup to print gridlines and row and column labels
	print the formulas .
