(or other computing magazines to be cleared with me before you begin). The magazine must be an issue dated no more than 3 months ago.

You can use either the paper version or the Internet Web Site version of the magazine. Or do at least one of each. Check out ZD Net, CMP.

Before selecting the magazine, scan the Table of Contents  to be sure there are articles of interest to you.

Spend 1 to 2 hours reading the magazine (or surfing the eMagine web site - that means looking at a dozen or so pages off the home page).
Read the first one or two paragraphs of every (at least 12) articles (until you get a feeling for what the article is about). If using a eMag read at least 12 pages.  Then choose 2 or 3 articles, including the cover story and feature articles, and read them completely. Read a regular monthly column. Study a dozen or so "meaty" advertisements (those that aren't just flashy but contain information about a product). Evaluate what you have learned from the ads. Submit one page reviewing the magazine (one paragraph on each of the main articles, one paragraph on the ads and one paragraph that summarizes the "flavor" of the magazine.) Be SPECIFIC - name product names, describe features, quote prices, and explain the authors' points of view.   When reviewing an e-zine,
provide the URL’s exact page addresses of the pages where your found interesting things so others can click back and read the full thing it they want.

Teach your reader some of what you learned. Compare the various magazines or compare paper to e-zine.after the first review.

Be sure to read word processing hints and follow submission guidelines.
