reading in UCC’s unique History grove a selection of poems that speak to and about history

Lecture and music sections of program will take place in the UCC Commons, the entirety of which will be arranged for the Founders’ Day programming. 

As part of our day’s focus on public history, on display in the Commons will be an exhibit on the history of Black baseball at Yankee Stadium that was part of the debut exhibits at the new Yankee Stadium Museum.

Also on display will be exhibit items depicting the history of UCC

 

In commemoration of UCC’s founding father, Franklin D. Roosevelt, the UCC Cafeteria menu for the day will be the menu served the King and Queen of England by the President and First Lady of the United States on the historic visit of the Royal Couple to Hyde Park, June 11, 1939.
