Objective:  

To create reports with totals.

Assignment:

bulletUsing MS Access to create reports for your database.
bullet Add summary statistics (totals, counts, minimums, maximums)
bulletFollow procedure to upload your MDB and post summary on Message Board.
bullet Review the reports of classmates and post suggestions
bulletFollow procedure to read about, download and critique the queries of class members.
bulletRespond to your critiques.

bullettype "Reports Overview" into Answer Wizard, 
bulletselect "Reports: What they are and how they work", 
bulletstudy 3 screen pictures, 
bullettype "Create a Report" into Answer Wizard
bulletchose "wizard", read some screens
bulletchose "create your own", read some screens

Be sure to document by giving descriptions to each Report  (right click on their names in database object view)

Procedure:

  1. Create 2 or more reports per details above 
  2. Post your database MDB file in your virtual disk drive.  
  3. Post a summary on the Bulletin Board signaling that your work is ready to be reviewed.
  4. Check if your classmates have posted a Reports  on their Database
    bulletIf so download them
    bulletReview them Modify the reports to improve them and upload the MDB to your virtual disk
    bulletPost suggestions on the Bulletin Board
    bulletImitate good ideas in your forms
  5. Look for suggestions to your Reports
    bulletincorporate suggestions into your design and upload to your virtual disk drive again then note improvement on the Bulletin Board or
    bulletpost reasons you think suggestions won't work
  6. Continue to do step 4 and 5.
