Don't be "fooled"  by the due dates. These take time because your first effort is almost always just a draft.  You must then incorporate feedback usually more than once!

The grading system reflects the philosophy that database design is learned by doing and seeing how others do.  Your log entries on the Bulletin Board clue your team members and other classmates into what to look for when they look at your database.  What has changed?  What has been added?  What are you having trouble with and would like help?  

You may submit you work multiple times for improved grades.
