BUS-101-300, Introduction to
Contemporary Business
Welcome to the online course BUS-101-300, Introduction to Contemporary Business. CLASS BEGINS THE FIRST DAY OF THE SEMESTER, SEPTEMBER 3. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU HAVE YOUR TEXTBOOK THE FIRST DAY OF THE SEMESTER.
The required online course textbook for Introduction to Contemporary Business, BUS-101-300, is EXCELLENCE IN BUSINESS, 3RD EDITION, Bovee, Thill, and Mescon, Prentice Hall, 2007. If you purchase the text from the UCC Cranford Bookstore, be sure to purchase the online package of the new book for the online course (BUS-101-300). You will receive the textbook and a free WebCT Student One Key Access Kit. UCC Cranford Bookstore hours can be found by calling the bookstore at 908-709-7619. You can purchase the textbook by mail from the bookstore with a major credit card.

You will
be able to log on to the online course on January 24.
To log on to the online course Introduction to
Contemporary Business, BUS-101-300, complete these steps:
1. Click on this Website. To access WebCT, you must use one of the following
for your browser: Microsoft IE 5.0, 5.5, or 6.0; Netscape 6.2.x (needs Java plug in) or
7.0; AOL 7.0 or 8.0.
2. Click “My WebCT.”
3. Keyboard the Username. It will be your student CWID.
4. Keyboard the Password. It will be your birth date, in the month, day, year format. (mmddyy)
Note: The password cannot be changed.
Example:
A student with a CWID of 12345678 and a birthday of June 21, 1988
will be able to logon to WebCT using the following:
Username:
12345678
Password
062188
4. Click on course.
5. There will be instructions as to how to enter One Key using the access code which came with your text.
6. Proceed as instructed.
One
orientation meeting is scheduled on the Cranford
Campus on Saturday,
September 13, H-216 from 3:00 - 4:20 p.m. It is
strongly advised that you attend this orientation meeting. An
overview of the course and a Web-CT orientation will be presented. Tests will
be given online. You will not be required to come to campus at any time.
