Keyboarding II for the Computer  (Word 2007)

ADM 102 (2 credits)

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This course is a continuation of Keyboarding I (ADM 101) where proper keyboarding technique and computer literacy were stressed. This course continues speed and accuracy buildings, stressing  the importance of proper technique.  Added to that is document production work . Topics include: tables, rough-draft reports, bulleted and number lists, business and personal letters, reports with footnotes and endnotes, bibliographies, and employment papers.

Prerequisite: ADM 101 with a grade of C or better, Challenge Examination, or permission from ADM Coordinator/Business Department Chairperson.

REQUIRED TEXT AND MATERIALS:

  • You should already have Gregg College Keyboarding & Document Process, Lessons 1-60 10th Edition. This is the text that was used for Keyboarding I (ADM 101). If you do not still have it, you will need to purchase it! McGraw-Hill Higher Education. 

  • Skill Building Pro, 1st Edition. Thomson/South-Western. 

  • USB Drive/flash memory on which to save your work.
