Workshop: Writing About Survival
Dr. Wachtel teaches at Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ. During this interactive workshop, Dr. Wachtel will present her innovative pedagogy for using The New York Times in the classroom along with actual student assignments from the course and her book entitled The Story of Blima-A Holocaust Survivor. Faculty will learn how to intensify learning and improve critical thinking skills by using diverse sources, including The New York Times. The workshop is meant to provide inspiration and ideas as well as sharing from the audience. The New York Times is pleased to offer this outstanding workshop to New Jersey community as part of our commitment to providing additional benefits to community college faculty.
