Hi Everyone,
I just wanted to thank those of you who attended the meeting yesterday
afternoon.
I also wanted to extend a big welcome to those who attended the meeting for the
first time (but hopefully not for the last).
It was suggested to show the “Real Women” movie on Monday night in Elizabeth for the ESL classes that cannot attend the 6:00 PM showing on Wednesday evening. Unfortunately, the Trinitas School of Nursing has a class in the theater on Monday nights from 8-10 PM and cannot move to another location due to the size of the class.
As a Plan B we can either see if room 514 is free or take over the cafeteria.
In years past we have rented a bus to take the Elizabeth campus students and instructors over to the Cranford campus for the Tuesday night opening event. Do you think we need to do this again this year?
I guess it depends on the instructors who teach in Elizabeth on Tuesday evening and if they are interested in taking their classes to the event. It, of course, also depends on the cost of renting a bus and if we can get the additional funds from CEPAC.
Now (thanks to Mr. Jorge Rivera) that we have $500 from the SGA for food we should begin to think about what we should serve and where we should serve it (just on opening night or a little here and there for all of the offerings).
The official flyer will go out to Nicole this afternoon and she will send it to the Print Shop.
We should receive them in about a week or two then we can go crazy and flood the place with them
Besides some fine tuning here and there on the actual events, our next big item on the agenda should be to really push the series of events to everyone and anyone we can find (students, co-workers, etc).
We put a lot of time and effort into putting this series together so we should now let everyone know about it and benefit from it.
Take care,
Jim
