name and a reflection of what you learned about online communities & online
writing The length of you entry for Wikipedia
should be appropriate to your topic. If you include illustrations - make
sure to comply with copyright requirements. General assurance and encouragement:
It is not really possible to give complete, upfront directions for this
assignment. You will need to use the Wikipedia site to find directions for
posting your entry and you will need to practice in the sandbox. You will
probably get at least one message about what you need to do to make your entry
comply with Wikipedia requirements and your work will probably be removed.
Make sure to communicate with the other editors to find out why - then try
again. You can't 'break" the site - so just try it out. I strongly
suggest that once you have written your text +developed a design - you just get
in there and give it a try. Good luck! |
