Hi!  I'm Professor Pat Ishill.  I teach English as a Second Language for the Institute for Intensive English which is a part of the English/Fine Arts/Modern Language Department.

I love teaching at the college in general and for the Institute in particular.  Throughout the years that I have been at the college I have met many interesting students from different countries around the world.  I enjoy teaching all the different courses that are offered, but I particularly like sharing my knowledge of computers with my students and incorporating it into my lessons.

You can easily recognize me around the college because I sound differently than most of the other faculty.  I'm the one with the New York accent and the strange license plates on my car.

I was born in Brooklyn, New York.   I have lived in New York City my whole life and can't think of any other place that I would rather live.  I am presently living on Staten Island, and I like it very much.  It affords me close proximity to both Manhattan and to New Jersey while at the same time providing access to local beaches and parks.
