Ideal

for this project.
You
must follow these steps as you
do this assignment:
1.
Think about a problem you probably want to write about.
2.
Do some research, and decide to (a) change topics. (b) continue, or (c)
narrow your topic and continue. If
you do not understand, see me right away!)
3.
You must use at least 3 sources, at least one each from the list below:
·
print
(magazine, book, newspaper, etc.)
·
the
web
·
Databases
in the UCC library (The Librarian will help, and so can I) You must visit the library and use these databases to pass!

must do 2 things: A. Research and B. Plan
A.
Research
·
Bring
in prints of your three sources.(See number 3 above.)
·
Turn
in (on paper) the source information for each source.
·
For
each source, make a list of 3 to 10 key facts or points (on paper—these are
notes) that you think you may use in your essay.
Number them, and write the numbers on the copies you bring in.
B.
Plan: Make
a basic plan of your essay. On
paper I need
·
Thesis
(Write a thesis. Try to make it
good. You can adjust
it later.)
·
Main
points (List the main points that you think will become the topic sentences of
your Body paragraphs. Again try to do a good job, but you can adjust these later.)
·
Remember:
For this paper, you must print and turn in copies of EVERY page you get information
OR language from: book, magazine, web page, database. or anywhere.
UCC has software to locate copied material.
