ESL 091:021                                                   HW  9                         Adapting Final Draft

John McDermott

Homework: 10-29-04   Due 11-5-04                           Late papers will be penalized.

NEW HW:

1. NY/NJ Essay: If you finished a first draft, do nothing!  Bring it next week (along with your notes and plan).

2. “Adapting” Final draft Turn in all drafts with the newest on top and oldest and notes on the bottom.  Three drafts or zero!

·        To get a good grade, use what you have learned about organizing—especially my handout about this essay, given put on 10-29-04.

·        You MUST use the intro and conclusion from the text book, and arrange your essay around the thesis in the book!

This paper should be 2-2 ˝ pages long, typed double-spaced.  1˝ pages is not passing.

·        You must type this draft and all drafts of this essay (but not your notes)!  Save your drafts onto disk and get help to make sure you have saved to both the computer and the disk before you close and leave the computer! Each time you begin a new draft, save first with a new name!  Give each new draft a new name when you save it! (A/B/C, etc.)
