Study the increasingly important role that women have played and will continue to play in numerous and diverse fields. Women’s Studies examines how women live and are perceived in the world, and how gender differences affect men and women in their everyday lives, and society in general

Experience stimulating discussions in courses such as:

Introduction to Women’s Studies

Biology of Women

Psychology of Women

Women and Work

Women in Mathematics and Science

Women in Literature

Women and American Politics

Women and the Justice System

 

These courses are open to all students, & may satisfy electives for other majors.


After graduating from U.C.C., students majoring in Women’s Studies will transfer into upper level Women’s Studies programs, or pursue related majors preparing students for careers in a variety of fields, including: the government and social services, non-profit organizations, communications and public relations, the media, research, health and human services fields, and other business environments.
