   Carol Healey is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Union County College in the Practical nursing Program.  She has been a registered nurse for over thirty years, having started  in the profession as a diploma graduate.  She continued her education while working as a medical-surgical and emergency room nurse, and eventually specialized in psychiatric mental health nursing.  She has been teaching at Union County College since January 1993.  She has prescriptive privileges as an advanced practice nurse.
