Professor Nicole Stokes-DuPass is an Instructor of Sociology at Union County College. Professor Stokes’ teaches the  following courses: Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, International Social Problems, and Minorities in American Life

 

Educational Background:

 

She received her Master of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Professional Studies in Multicultural Education from the State University of New York at New Paltz. In addition,     Professor Stokes-DuPass has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Bachelor of  Science in Sociology also from the State  University of New York at New Paltz

 

Current Research Interests:

 

Professor Stokes’ research focuses on Social Welfare systems in Western Europe, particularly Scandinavian welfare policies. In 2000-2001, she was a U.S. Fulbright Scholar to Denmark and served as a guest researcher at the Danish     National Institute for Social Research. She has also conducted additional research abroad in Germany, Russia and Cuba
